Book
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good Minus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Minus. Re-issue. Type: Z A very clean, tight ex-library set. This edition was a 1963 re-issue in twenty volumes - a photographic reprint, with minor corrections and index and a retrospect by F.R.Leavis (twentieth volume). 'It is now recognized as a formative influence on English intellectual and cultural life worthy to rank with the great reviews of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.' Ex public library but very clean and tight with relatively few ex-library markings. A library bookplate pasted to each front paste-down. A biro 'tick' mark to the upper corner of the front endpaper. A fairly small library stamp (with crossed out numbers) to the reverse of the title page. A small square strip of non-fading to the tail of each wrapper spine where a number label has been removed from the protective transparent sleeves, which cover the wrapper and have protected the wrapper from fading. The wrappers are in very good condition, due to the transparent sleeve protectors with a little light fading to the spines. There are no loss of endpapers. About as nice and well preserved an ex-library set you could wish to find.
