"When performed by a Choral Society as part of a concert , it should be remembered that the work is an operetta. The chorus should be actively interested throughout, and something different from the usual concert performance aimed at. The time of the performance is approximately one hour . The work is orchestrated for Strings, two Flutes, Oboe and two Trumpets but may be performed with Strings and Piano, or with Piano alone. " (from the Foreword). A scarce edition.
