One corner heavily bumped, binding sound, text unmarked. Haile (1874-1861) was a leading authority on Navajo culture and helped devise a written alphabet for the Navajo language. This volume includes text and translations of 67 actual chants for different Navaho ceremonial flintways and chantways collected by Haile in during field studies in 1929-31.

Newcomb and Laura Armer. The big book and the small soft cover booklet are both Fine, corners sharp, pages crisp, tight, no markings.
