Hardcover. Condition: Sehr gut. 1. Auflage. 21,5 x 29,1 cm (hardcover) 64 pages (28 color & 2 b/w ill.) - In her paintings and drawings, Dawn Mellor (*1970 in UK) uses black humour to deconstruct the cult of the star (which appears to have been chosen in our society as a substitute for religion) and its believer the fan. The majority of female protagonists in her works are music icons such as Madonna, Courtney Love or Britney Spears, but there are also appearances by film actresses and figures such as Audrey Hepburn, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz (alias Judy Garland), or "glamourous" politicians such as Hilary Clinton or Condoleezza Rice.

Gr.8°, 200 S., 200 Abb., Kart., Verlagsfrisch. EA. Text dt./engl. Parallel dazu war Bajevic in Gruppenausstellungen in «All the World?s Futures», 56. Venedig-Biennale (2015); 4. Internationale Canakkale-Biennale, Türkei (2014); The National Museum of Art, Oslo (2014); 4. Thessaloniki-Biennale, Griechenland (2013); Art Beijing, China (2012); Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, Toronto (2011); Royal Academy of Arts, London (2010); Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warschau (2010), vertreten. Die Ausstellung wird kuratiert von Raphael Gygax (Kurator, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst). Zur Ausstellung erscheint eine umfangreiche Publikation bei JRP|Ringier mit Beiträgen von Barbara Biedermann, Manuel Borja-Villel, Boris Buden, Ana Janevski und Raphael Gygax.» 900 gr. Schlagworte: Kunst - Monographien, Kunst - 20 Jht. nach 1945.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Deterioration, They Said Special Collection by Raphael Gygax; Heike Munder. Published by JRP/Ringier in 2009. Hardcover. American artists Cory Arcangel, Jessica Ciocci & Jacob Ciocci; Paper Rad, Shana Moulton, and Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch, have been brought together in this publication. In their works the artists create an overwhelming, colour-charged aesthetic with an excessive density of content, reacting to the consumer-oriented condition of Western society. In their image-spaces the four collaborations address a culture of excess, constructing their critique via a form of appropriation, which simultane. Collectible item in very fine condition.
