Contents tight with some scattered foxing and minor pencil marks throughout. Ownership book plate and small bookseller's plate on front e/p. With a Preface by Maj.-Gen. Sir Ronald Lane and 4 illustrations in colour by Lord Grenfell. Frontispiece has original tissue. Slight musty odour. Field Marshal Francis Wallace Grenfell, (29 April 1841 ? 27 January 1925) was a British Army officer who was active in South Africa, the 9th Xhosa War, the Anglo-Zulu War and then the Anglo-Egyptian War.
