Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. Portfolio, cloth-backed boards stamped in silver, red, and blue, with ribbon closure; contains an introductory card and 48 loose b/w collotype plates (photographs, and reproductions of drafts and blueprints). Celebrates the Art Deco structures built in Paris in the decades leading up to the 1937 exposition. Boards a little rubbed and soiled, chipped at corners; contents are remarkably clear and clean.
(Paris, 1937, Editions Art & Architecture), 4 uniform half cloth publisher's portfolios, 33 x 23 cm, each containing one leaf with on one side the introduction and on the other side the index + 48 b/w photo plates with printed captions, loose as issued in the original half cloth portfolio printed in silver-red-blue. Very well preserved. Important iconographic publication on the 1937 Paris World Exposition. The map Régionalisme and the map Section Étrangères have also a separate title-leaf. These were probably never issued for the two other maps.
