Hard Back/Hard Cover. Condition: Book Fair-Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dustjacket. Bayard (Illustrator) (illustrator). 285 pages. Text has light brown blotches/foxing to most pages. Attractive b/w illustrations. Green cloth boards, gilt titles to spine, rubbing to outer hinges, heavy wear to spine-ends which are starting to fray, small splits to hinge-ends, heavy wear to corners which are fraying and showing card. Crack to cloth of front outer hinge 6cm down-superficial. Cloth missing from bottom hinge area front board 2cm by 6mm. Marbled end-papers, wear/scuffs to edges, rubbing to boards. Red ink name stamped to half-title page which with initial few pages has damp mark to bottom corner. Appearance affected by these faults, but an early strong sound reading/working copy.
