    No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. circa.1960. an original publicity photograph (8 x 10 1/8 inch) in black & white. Image viewed through a piano with Sascha seated looking through it. It is inscribed near the top "Sascha Gorodnitzki". Sascha Gorodnitzki (1905-1986) was born in Kiev and emigrated with his family to Brooklyn where his family founded a college of music. He was a child prodigy and attended Juilliard Graduate School and winning the Schubert Memorial Competition in 1930. He began teaching at Juilliard until his death. His teaching style was described as 'supportive and intimidating'. Besides touring he recorded for Capitol and Columbia records where his playing was described as 'electrifying and exciting'.
