Book
Paperback. Condition: As New. Reprint. Unread and unopened! 56pp. Stapled format. From item:ON the shelves of the British Museum in the city of London there is a book in the Russian language, by Sergius A. Nilus, called the Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion. It contains twenty-four documents which purport to reveal the inner workings of a plot by certain international Jewish leaders to enslave the world through a dictatorship based upon the power of gold.Next to the Bible, this volume, translated into various languages, is perhaps the most widely read book in existence. The superintendent of the library told me that he constantly receives inquiries about it from all parts of the world. Its catalogue mark in the library is C $7.C.31.This book was received by the Museum August 10,1906. It was purchased through regular trade channels and there was nothing extraordinary about the manner in which it reached England's greatest library. The first translation from the Russian into English was published by Eyre and Spottiswoode, official printers of the British government, in 1920. Victor E. Marsden, who had previously represented a London newspaper in Russia, made another translation about the same time.Because Mr. Marsden was a master in both languages, his work is generally regarded as being thoroughly accurate and dependable. He lived through the Russian revolution and was forced to spend considerable time in a Bolshevik prison. Injuries thus sustained impaired his health and sent him back home?.

First Edition
Staplebound. Condition: Very good. First Edition. Octavo, 40pp. A very good copy in the publisher's red printed stapled wraps. Some dust-soiling to the wraps and normal age-toning to the leaves, but overall a clean, unmolested copy. This pamphlet, with an introduction by noted far-right fanatic Gerald Burton Winrod, contains interviews with Upton Close, a Father-Coughlin-like radio figure from the World-War II era. A scarce title in the trade, and we found only two examples in worldwide library holdings (Michigan State and U. of Oregon).
Published by Wichita, Kansas: Defender Publishers, 1933
First Edition
First edition. 8vo; stapled wrappers, 50, [2] pp (adverts), illustrations. A series of Biblical stories first discussed with the Wise children, Faith and Temple, and then expanded to include other children in their neighborhood. Written by Mrs. Gerald B. Winrod, the wife of the "Jayhawk Nazi," Gerald B. Winrod, a Protestant fundamentalist pastor who ran Defenders of the Christian Faith. He was a defendant in the Great Sedition Trial of 1944 and was an unabashed anti-Semite and anti-Communist. Adverts in the back are for Winrod's various pamphlets and publications available through his Defender Publishers. Very light wear to wrappers with some sunning along the edges; one penciled note along the gutter of p. 5. Despite going through two printings, we find no other copies offered in commerce (April, 2018) and only one copy (of the second printing) in WorldCat at Michigan State. None of this first printing.
