This interesting work is comprised of a catalogue of books and pamphlets relating to the early history of surgical anesthesia, with annotations by Dr. John Fulton and Mediline E. Stanton. Both Fulton and Stanton had ties to Yale University, with Fulton being appointed as Yale's youngest Professor of Physiology while Stanton was personal secretary to neurosurgeon Harvey Cushing. This information was originally exhibited at the Yale Medical Library in October 1946.Illustrated with eight figures to accompany the text, with an additional frontispiece of T. G. Morton. Collated, complete. In a cloth binding with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, very good, with light rubbing to the extremities and joints, with a little rubbing to the spine label.
