hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Neill, John R. (illustrator). Third printing. Book is like new. Jacket rear panel damaged & under fresh plastic cover. #4 in Harper Collins Books of Wonder series. Shipped in box with tracking number.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Neill, John R. (illustrator). First Thus. Orig. published in 1920, this is a First Printing of one of a new series of reprints from William Morrow, published in the late 20th century in conjunction with Books of Wonder bookstore in New York City, whose co-founder, Peter Glassman, adds an Afterword here. These editions retain the original story & all of the lovely pen-and-ink illustrations & endpapers, AND bring back the original full-color plates by Neill (which were removed from cheaper reprints over the years). The hardcover book has burgundy glossy paper-covered boards with a colorful design to front that is matched on the accompanying DJ. It is an EX-LIB copy, so condition is only Good, primarily because the binding is cracked & pgs 217-232 are completely loose. Otherwise, pages are white, colors bright, but there are random smudges & wrinkles/dogeared page corners. Minimal old library stamps in front matter & to external page edges. NO other writing/underlining/highlighting/coloring. Modest rubbing to lower extremities, slight corner bumping. "This Book Belongs To." box is clean & ready for your child's name. The old library mylar has been carefully removed & replaced with new, & the DJ is truly Fine: completely clean & bright with virtually NO edgewear! Looks lovely! Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. Neill, John R. (illustrator). First Thus. Orig. published in 1910, this is the First Printing of one of a new series of reprints from William Morrow, published in the late 20th century in conjunction with Books of Wonder bookstore in New York City, whose co-founder, Peter Glassman, adds an Afterword here. These editions retain the original story & all of the lovely pen-and-ink illustrations & endpapers, & have restored the original full-color plates that were removed from cheaper editions over the years, including the metallic "emerald green" ink of the originals! In 300 pages, the hardcover book has blue glossy paper-covered decorative boards with a colorful design to front that matches the accompanying DJ. It is an EX-LIB copy, with the usual stamps & markings & card pocket in front matter & stamps to outside page edges. As such, condition is only Good: interior pages are white & unmarked, colors bright & clean, but marred by 1) wrinkling, 2) a light stain to the outer fore edge pages, along with light soil/smudging. Rear hinge is cracked. Modest rubbing to lower extremities, slight corner bumping. "This Book Belongs To." box is clean & ready for your child's name. The old library mylar has been carefully removed & replaced with new, & the DJ is VG+, marred only by slight rubbing to all corners & both ends of spine & light creasing; NO fading! Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have. Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays, Pacific time; later orders, weekends, & holidays ship very next business day. Bonus: order 2 or more titles in this series & take 10% + only $1.00 extra shipping for each book after the first!.

Book
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. Neill, John R. (illustrator). First Thus. New edition of what is widely considered the "first & finest" sequel to the original "Wizard of Oz" book. Orig. published in 1904, this is the First Printing of one of a new series issued in the late 20th century in conjunction with Books of Wonder in New York City (whose co-founder wrote the Afterword). It retains the original endpapers, 120 line illustrations & 16 full-color plates by artist John R. Neill throughout the 287 pages. With a sturdy, but unattractive, orange reinforced library binding, this is an EX-LIB copy, with the usual stamps & markings & card pocket in front matter & stamps to outside page edges. Nonetheless, it is in VG condition: very clean, pages slightly off-white, colors bright, with a few random page wrinkles & mild creases. NO other writing/underlining/highlighting/coloring. Binding secure, hinges intact. Modest rubbing to extremities. The old library mylar has been carefully removed & replaced with new, & the DJ is VG+: extremely bright & clean with virtually NO edgewear, but downgraded due to tearing/rubbing to spine from removal of old call letters. Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day. Bonus: order 2 or more titles in this series & take 10% + only $1.00 extra shipping for each book after the first!.
