Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Book has a forward lean. Boards are bowed. The unclipped dust jacket has moderate edge wear, tears and chips to edges and spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges.

In very good bright green cloth boards, gilt decorated edges to front; black title field to spine with gilt titles. The covers are very firm, straight and clean. They do not look the originals. Buff coloured end papers; name on front free end paper. These end papers look fairly new. Lightly tanned and marked cut edges. The text block is straight, mostly tightly bound, but first few text pages a little loose from tail end. Lovely drawings throughout. The prelim pages have small mark; pages 110/111 have blue ticks against two of the plants; otherwise mostly very clean. Very good condition. No jacket.
