Maroon boards with spine stamped in gilt. No dust jacket. Seattle Police Department Bureau of Identification card laid in dated 1915 identifying a "D. Mayhew" an alleged poisoner with mugshot photo mounted to verso. Light wear to extremities with some mild scuffing. Binding is sound and pages foxed but unmarked. English author Jessica "Decca" Mitford, well known for her memoir "Hons and Rebels" was also an investigative journalist and wrote "Kind and Usual Punishment: The Prison Business" in 1973.
