Boards are slightly rubbed to top and bottom of spine but are overall in vey good condition, hinges are tight. Hardcover. Condition: Near Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good+. Latham, Molly M - jacket only/ b/w photos throughout. (illustrator). 1st. Red cloth hardcover binding clean, square and tight. Spine a bit faded, lots of foxing and staining to interior pages, but interior clean. Book measures 10" x 7.5". Dustjacket is beautifully illustrated showing a girl jumping a pony with smaller drawings of other interactions with the horse. Some wear, 1" missing bottom of spine, some soiling particularly back of dj that advertises other sporting books from the publisher. Overall a nice copy, scarce in dustjacket. 62 pages with many full page black and white photos. Author known for his book on riding instruction, addresses the subject for children by showing a young girl's evolution in horsemanship.Each chapter contains a practical hint of horsemanship. This first appeared as a serial during 1936 in the Boys and Girls section of the Daily Mail newspaper. 62 pages.
