Hardcover. Condition: Very good. 1st Edition 1st Printing. 180p, numerous b/w photographs. An oversized hardcover book in fine condition with a very good , lightly edgeworn dustjacket. INSCRIBED BY CARDINAL BERNARDIN TO HIS CLOSE FRIEND BISHOP RAYMOND GOEDERT. A warm personal inscription on the title page to "Ray" signed "Joe" in September 1986. Bishop Goedert was the long-time auxilary bishop of Chicago and worked closely with Cardinal Bernardin. The two both lived in the Chicago Cardinal's Residence mansion; Goedert gave Bernardin last rites when he died a couple months after the book was inscribed. A rare and unique association copy between two giants of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
