Drawn from private collections in Portland and from those of the museum, this exhibition features 165 works of art in all media by French artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. It includes works by Courbet, Carpeaux, Cezanne, Renoir, Pissarro, Rodin, Monet, Picasso and others. There are also prints by Toulouse-Lautrec. This collection is one of the three major groupings of French paintings on the West Coast. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
