Orange and light blue 2-tone jacket is only in fair condition, with a darkened & torn spine and chips along the top edge. This is an early printing in jacket style 'd' listing 190 books. Short story anthology includes works by Conrad, Galsworthy, Maugham, Mansfield, Lawrence, Cather, Joyce, Fitzgerald, Anderson, and other early 20th century writers. Though not indicated, this copy is from the library of T. R. Smith, who was chief editor at Boni & Liveright during the 1920s. More of Smith's Modern Library collection is available.
