September 1826 in Schwetzingen) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller, Theologe und Pädagoge. Aufgrund seines Gedichtbands Allemannische Gedichte gilt er gemeinhin als der bedeutendste alemannische Mundartdichter. Sein zweites bekanntes Werk sind zahlreiche, auf Hochdeutsch verfasste Kalendergeschichten. (Wikip.).
