[First Edition]. color-illus (after a photo) paper over boards; 158 pgs w/ 190 photo-gravures and 17 tinted light-blue (fuori testo); intro by E.Cuenot; 4 essays: Technique (Peterson); Slalom (Lunn), Winter Alpinism (Couttet) & Skiing in Italy (Rivera); index of 20+ photographers; an early book of great ski photography born out of the skiing boom in Europe during the 20's; printed in Italy. very good copy w/o dj (as issued?); top edge partly skinned, rubbing to head of spine; 1/4" chipping at heel of spine; spine cover starting to loosen along front joint; corners rubbed w/ rear upper corner point 1/4" chipped away; wear to lower front near spine, less at upper; hinges excellent; still, a sound, presentable copy.
