The text is illustrated with full-colour and a full-page, every second page, illustrations and black-and-white drawings to the top and bottom of each of the other pages drawn by S. B. Pearse. 1/4 light blue coloured cloth covered back strip with dark blue coloured titles. 3/4 illustrated boards with red and blue coloured titles. After being disappointed about visiting their uncle, Ameliaranne and her family go on a tour around their county in a grand old car. Softening to the back strip edges with chipping of the book corners, and various bumping to the top and bottom book edges. Remains of insect activity can be seen to the top and lower book edges with sunning of the back strip. The spine is somewhat cocked and there is browning of the text block edges. Age toning of the pages and there is a gift inscription to the top edge of the free front endpaper. Offset tanning to the end pages and original bookseller's sticker to the lower right hand corner of the front paste-down  this is ghosted on to the free front endpaper. This copy is in as new, unmarked condition quarter bound in blue cloth to illustrated paper covered boards, with black titling to the spine. This copy is bright, tight, white and square.There is a neat inscription to the head of the f.e.p. The unclipped dust wrapper has some marks but still in near fine condition. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. All the books in the Ameliaranne series contain thirty two full colour illustrations, there were twenty titles in the series. Ameliaranne was Ameliaranne Stiggins the eldest child of six. Her mother took in washing in order to make a living, there was never any mention of a father. The books were written by a number of authors, but they were all illustrated by Susan Beatrice Pearse.
