It has shelf wear rubbing and three, small scrapes. Unpaginated; 3/4 in. thick. The pages are of card weight paper. There are 16 plates of color illustrations; an additional plate is missing. The poetry pages have lavender decorations, by Earl Stetson Crawford, on the margins. The cover's corners have small spots of color loss from shelf wear rubbing. The text block ends have darkened. The front and back blank pages have foxing. The top corner of the frontispiece and title page each have foxing. The margin of a text page has a 1/4 in. scraped spot. The margin of a plate has a 1/2 in. bend line and a 3/8 in. closed tear that is tipped back together with glue. The endpapers have tanned; the front FEP has a vertical crease line.
