Seller: Mare Booksellers ABAA, IOBA, Dover, NH, U.S.A.
Unbound. Condition: Good. no date, presumed late 1960s. Single sheet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. A flier bringing attention to the actions of Sam Warda, a San Francisco municipal bus driver being charged with malicious mischief for the removing of fallout shelter signs and mailing them to public officials. This was done in an effort to bring attention to the Shelter Program undertaken by the US government as protective measures in the event of a nuclear war. The flier points out the futility of such shelters based on the level of destruction, and points out the profiteering gained by various corporations in pushing forward with the Anti-ballistic missile program. The flier seeks funds and supporters to attend the trial of Mr. Warda. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. Some scuffing and bumping along the edges, with a small tear at the top edge. Minor toning and soiling. Ink corrections to the flier.

Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: New. 1st Edition. 119 pages. Oversized 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches. Glossy boards binding. No dust jacket, as issued. A new, factory shrinkwrapped copy with no wear or damage. Colorful, inspiring document of the creation, activities, mission, and architecture, of this San Diego institution. Color photos throughout. A well designed and well printed document, I assume not formally published, presumably a book given to staff, donors, potential donors, city officials and such. A fine reference for those planning similar museums, for students and fans of museum design, for those involved who want a fresh copy, or for niche historians of San Diego.
