Très rare plaquette sur la construction du bâtiment de l ONU à Paris en 1951 par l architecte Jacques Carlu, « conçu et édifié en un temps incroyablement court » grâce à l emploi de l ossature métallique, édifice provisoire détruit vers 1960.Couverture de Jean Lhuer - Photo Lacheroy - Très nombreuses illustrations in et hors texte en noir (photos) + plan d ensemble et graphique en rouge et noir + plans de coupe en blanc sur fond bleuJacques Carlu (1890-1976), 1er Grand Prix de Rome en 1919, architecte en chef puis conservateur du Palais de Chaillot, entre 1934 et 1963. Chargé de la transformation de l ancien Trocadéro de Davioud pour l Exposition Internationale de Paris de 1937 (avec Louis-Hippolyte Boileau et Léon Azéma), Carlu s occupera des transformations et aménagements successifs du Palais de Chaillot et de la place du Trocadéro (en 1948, pour accueillir la 3e Assemblée générale de l ONU ; en 1951 avec la construction des bâtiments provisoires pour la 6e session de l ONU et enfin pour accueillir le siège de l OTAN (1952-1959)). Ces bâtiments seront finalement détruits au début des années 60.
