Condition: Good. 6pp. Sheet music for the aforementioned song, with a short essay on the inside cover, on the history and importance of the "plantation song," as well as instruction for singing with feeling, but without "making them funny" by imitating the African American singer. In GOOD condition. Minor darkening and soiling to the wraps. Two faint bookseller stamps present on the wraps. Minor creasing and edgewear to the wraps with a ½ inch tear at the lower center edge of the wraps and pages. Sheet music LOOSE inside the wraps, with the wraps splitting along the upper and lower hinges. Faint dampstain present to the lower margin of the music. General darkening to the pages.
