Magazine-like Format. Condition: Very Good -. Nancy Ekholm Burkert (illustrator). This 9" X 12" offering in VG- condition is Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs(A Tale from the Brothers Grimm), Translated by Randall Jarrell, with Pictures by Nancy Ekholm Burkert, and published by Sunburst Books in 1987 and is a stated "Sunburst Edition." (The original date of publication was 1972.) This is not an ex-library book, although there is the presence of a beige-colored, 3 1/4" X 3 1/2" circulation card holder/pocket attached to bottom portion of inside of back cover(put there by a/the previous owner) whose signature is written in ink in upper right corner of half title page. There is also some modest shelf wear along this 26-page-long, softcover offering's spine as well as at top and bottom edges of same. From back cover, "A Caldecutt Honor Book, this book is Burkert's masterpiece. . In short, the illustrations are magnificent. Looking at them, you wish they were the first pictures you'd seen in your life. The pictures. are like Jarrell's bounty of mercy and delight, so triumphantly beautiful, so breathtakingly wise, so wisely innocent that about all a reader and a beholder of this collaboration can say is 'Hallelujah!" I don't know about that, but the delicate, painstakingly-drawn Illustrations do make you wonder if one or more of the characters isn't going to suddenly blink/move--they are that skillfully done. Thank you very much!.
