1 S. Visitkartenformat. Arnolt Bronnen, legalisierter Sohn des Dramatikers Ferdinand Bronner, studierte Jura und Philosophie und ließ sich nach der Teilnahme am Ersten Weltkrieg in Berlin nieder, wo er mit Bertolt Brecht zu den Bühnenavantgardisten ( Vatermord", 1920) gehörte. In den dreißiger Jahren zunächst Anhänger der Nationalsozialisten, war er Dramaturg der Reichsfunkgesellschaft, geriet in Konflikt mit Joseph Goebbels und erhielt 1937 Berufsverbot. 1943 schloß sich Bronnen der österreichischen Widerstandsbewegung an, wurde Mitglied der Kommunistischen Partei Österreichs und war von 1945 bis 50 Kulturredakteur der kommunistischen Zeitung Neue Zeit" in Linz sowie seit 1951 Direktor des Neuen Theaters in der Scala" in Wien. 1955 folgte er einer Einladung Johannes R. Bechers nach Ostberlin, wo er als Theaterkritiker für die Berliner Zeitung" tätig war. Beiliegend zwei Bll. Zeitungsausschnitte.
