Soft crushing to spine ends. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Scuffing and light marking overall. Dark rubbing and marking to surfaces.

Hodgson. The boards are damp stained. 1 or 2 marks inside & what looks like the remnants of sellotape between 2 pages but generally clean & bright internally. Quite a nice dw externally with a little creasing & some stains to the back & a couple of small closed tears. There is a name in small capital letters at the top of the front cover which is pretty unobtrusive. The wrapper is also price clipped but with 3/6d stamped on the flap.There is also staining & foxing on the inside of the wrapper.

Book has light green boards with titles in black to front and spine. Book has wear to spine-ends, spine-edges and corners, some wear to edges, rear board has a light cup mark and some brown marks, spine has a couple of small brown marks and cloth to backstrip is wavy and not taut. Page-edges are foxed, flyleaf and rear end-paper are missing, foxing to half-title and title page and last two pages of text. Both inner hinges are cracked showing cloth 4mm and rear has adjacent paper missing, but both holding strong. Copy is undated-probably 1930s. A few pages have some light finger marks in margins, otherwise text is clean.
