Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D-Minor, Op. 15 for two pianos (Emil von Sauer, 1862-1942, composer, pianist). Introduced on 27 January 1859 at the Gewandhaus with opposition due to the departure from the concerto form. Not until 1878 was it received with enthusiasm. "Schumann described it as turning a piano into a full orchestra." Grove/Maitland.
