Book
Half-Leather. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Beautiful book bound in half leather with spine and corners being leather over maroon cloth boards. There's a little spotting to the boards but they are nice and clean; and there is a little knocking to the corner tips and sun fading to the leather of the spine. The title lettering on the spine, in gilt, is still nice and crisp, as is the decorative tooling on the spine bands. No inscriptions and clean pages throughout with the many wonderful illustrations being in superb condition. There is a little mild foxing sporadically through the book and the page backing the frontispiece is somewhat browned. The decorative end papers look lovely still; there is a small bookseller's stamp of Arthur Foley, of Driffield in the top RH corner of the front free end paper. Quite a lovely, charming book in all. It is a heavy tome though so will incur extra postage which will be £10 extra for UK and £30 extra for overseas, so please bear this in mind when ordering.
