The dates of this Exhibition was September 30-November 30, 1975. Foreword by Tom Freudenheim. This exhibition was the initial activity of the Baltimore Museum of Art for its Bicentennial celebration. The core of this exhibition were the works of art through which an extraordinary American family was portrayed. Charles Carroll was one of the Founding Fathers, although not among the best known. He was one of the four Maryland signers of the Declaration of Independence. He outlived his contemporaries and became the last survivor of the signers prior to his own departure from this mortal coil. He was involved in the establilshment of the First and Second Bank of the United States and both the Baltimore and Ohio and the Chesapeake and Ohio canals. Very good. No dust jacket.
