This unique exhibition of Chinese art treasures had never before been shown in Europe until it was exhibited in 1993 in Koldinghus, Denmark. The chronological catalogue compiled by Chinese experts thoroughly describes the 110 works of art in the exhibition, from the most ancient earthenware pieces that are some 8,000 years old to the delicate porcelains and silken costumes from the Xing Dynasty around 1900. The principle works are the bronze artifacts from the Zhou Dynasty, 550 B.C., which include sacrificial vessels, spouted posts, wine beakers, all with sumptuous reliefs, rich ornamentation, and inscriptions. In addition, there are multicoloured glazed earthenware objects, large Tang horses and camels, the blue and white translucent porclain of the Ming Dynasties, and much more. All lovers of Chinese art and libraries devoted to the same must have this book., Danish/ English, German & Chinese summaries, Year1993, Illust. B/W2, Illust. Color161, ISBN 8787152037, Code 2490.
