First Edition Signed
First Edition. Signed by the author, Charles Fischer, and signed by the artist, Joe Service. Paperbound. Mint copy. Written by Charles Fischer with artwork & lettering by Joe Service. While this short story adapted to comic book form has been described by most sources as a work of fiction, it is actually the telling of a real event in Hunter S. ThompsonÕs life in 1991. Thompson meets with a wealthy sheltered Southern California couple who are in the process of publishing ThompsonÕs first finely printed limited edition signed book of short stories. While the names of the people and town have been fictionalized, the rest is the real story of Thompson running amuck in his indulgences while at the same time putting the rebel-worshiping couple in their proper place. A morality tale for the Gonzo generation written by one of the participants using a pseudonym to protect the guilty.
