Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Volume I ONLY! First edition (same date on title and copyright pages with no additional printings listed). Original brown cloth, stamped gilt lettering, 5 1/8 X 7 ¾ inches, 498 pp, illustrated with frontispiece. Fair. Corners bumped with cardboard exposed there and at spots along edges of boards, ¼ inch nibbling off head of spine, a few chips along joints, a 1 ½ x 7 ¾ inch water(? ) stain along outside edge of rear board, which has exposed some of the cardboard there. Internally, previous owner's name and address (in pencil) , light tan stain on first and last two dozen or so leaves, a bit wavy, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked; probably never really read. Biography; Daniel Webster; history; Americana.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Hardcover, original dark brown cloth with blind-embossed decoration on front and back covers, 392 pages, frontis engraving of Wesley, "I have endeavored, in the following pages, to present an accurate and vivid sketch of the life, times, and character of Wesley and his eminent coadjutors," the cloth is completely worn away from the spine but the covers are holding nicely and the binding is still tight, the blank front end-paper has been removed and the former owner's name is present along with an ownership label, there is some light foxing on the frontis engraving but the text is clean.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Book has some wear to corners as well as head and tail of spine. A couple of small scuffs to spine edges. Minimal soiling to boards. Pages are age-tanned on edges, but are all clean. Binding is tight, but title page has pulled away from binding on top 1/4 of page. Olive green boards with black floral motif and lettering on front. Likely printed circa 1887-1895.
