Seller: Star Cat Books, Bradford, VT, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 3rd Edition. This is the 1969 second revised edition of Sutherland's history of gold, and its influence on the development of civilization. The history is intriguing and the book is illustrated with black-and-white and color plates. For its age this is a lovely copy of the book. The green boards of the book have faded spots, and there is some bumping of the spine. The interior is in excellent shape, except for a presentation stamp on the front endpaper from International Investors, Inc. The binding is tight, and pages are clean and unmarked. The jacket has minor tears at the base of the spine and along the top of the back. There is light rubbing of the back of the jacket, and something created a small hole in the dust cover near the base of the spine. Otherwise the cover is still glossy and unclipped. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
