Paperback. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Lillian Baker Sturges (illustrator). This is an original manuscript of a children's book never published with original art. The cover is in fair condition, lots of edge wear and chips. An original color drawing on the front of the cover, very cute of mice. The book is dedicated to Cornelia Sturges. No date but probably early 1900's. The title page is printed in color pencils. Most pages are typed. 12 original illustrations in varying sizes in color and black and white. I counted 12 typed pages. Two illustrations are missing. Binding is hole punched and string tied. Some loose pages. Lillian Baker Sturges has a professional status as a fiction and non fiction writer and editor. Lillian was born November 19, 1886 in Pennsylvania and passed away in May of1968 at the age of 81 in Pennsylvania. Lillian lived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She wrote several children's books The Runaway Toys and The Goose Girl She also wrote a book on hat pins published by Collector Books and a book entitle Art Nouveau & Art Deco Jewelry, Creative and Collectible Miniatures and 100 Years of Collectible Jewelry.
