Published by Artigraf (Printers), Firenze, 1973
Paperback. Oblong, glossy white wraps with color image and black lettering. 4 single-sided pages followed by 31 singles-sided plates in color or bw. Includes a single-page essay in both English and Italian by Stillman (who died in 1989), the owner of Wethersfield House in Amenia, New York. The essay is followed by the plates, and there is one image of the frescoes in situ. Wethersfield House Museum is a Georgian style colonial brick residence with a brownstone entrance, designed by architect Bancel LaFarge in 1939. The House features Chauncey Stillman's collection of antiques, paintings, and sculptures. The historic furniture and artwork dates from the 15th to the early 20th century. Pietro Annigoni (7 June 1910 - 28 October 1988) was an Italian portrait and fresco painter. He is best known for his portrait (1956) of Queen Elizabeth II. Good+ (Wraps are edgeworn, smudged and scuffed; corners have been bent; textblock edges are worn, scuffed and smudged; interior is clean with stray smudges and light toning; binding is solid.).
