Accademic dissertation by Konrad Samuel Schurzfleisch (1641 - 1708), German professor of (especially German) history, poetry and Greek, librarian in Weimar, nicknamed the living library and the walking museum. Deals with the history and the succession of the 'Askanischen' Dynasties from the Middle-Ages, with genealogical trees. At the end a history of the Order of the Knights Templar, with a list of important members, starting with Hugo de Paganis (1118) and concluding with Jacobus de Molay (1309). - Slightly browned.[(4918)].

Coccejus, N. Chr. v. Lyncker, A. Magliabecchi, H. Meibom, Chr. Pescheck, G. Chr. v. Rappold, A. Rechenberg, M. Richey, Sam. Stryk und Chr. Wagenseil. Der kl. Zum 'Polyhistor' Konrad Samuel Schurzfleisch ausführlich Wegele in der ADB (XXXIII.97-99). Er gab "eine lange Reihe von Untersuchungen über Gegenstände aus der alten und der christlichen Zeit, die im J. 1699 in einem starken Bande gesammelt erschienen, und unter welchen die deutsche Geschichte das Übergewicht hat" heraus (ebda S. 98).
