Tips and joints with edgewear, soft creasing, tiny tears. All corners bumped, bowed. Relaxed binding. Toning to endpapers. Front endpaper with pencil date Sept. 27 1945. Very heaving staining to last endpaper and rear pastedown where Los Angeles Times article, entitiled, Robeson: Study of Idealist, dated Feb. 10, 1977 laid in. Browning to edges of pages, some edgewear here and there. Heavy staining to front fly and Half Title Page; lighter shadowing to Half Title Page verso and Title Page, all of which appear to have had an item laid in and no longer present.
