Couverture souple. Condition: Moyen. Edition originale. In-12 broché (enfin, dans le cas de notre exemplaire, malheureusement débroché), couverture illustrée en noir. Dos en miette, le livre ne tient littéralement qu'à un fil. Nous l'eussions mis au vieux papier, s'il ne s'agissait d'une rarissime édition originale, enrichie qui plus est d'un envoi autographe signé de l'auteur. Une chronique de la Revue militaire suisse en dit: "M. Raoul Privat nous présente en Ziquet, un soldat de la landwehr genevois de 1914, patriote et ronchonneur, prêt au devoir et tire au flanc, sensible aux beaux sentiments et débraillé, sympathique d'ailleurs et point inutile dans une compagnie à titre d'exception s'entend, comme le fifre dans la fanfare, car si tous les soldais étaient taillés strictement sur son modèle, le résultat serait douteux". Dédicacé par l'auteur.
