The spine features 3 black rules at both the head and foot plus two black panels overprinted in gold. Cover lettering is still bright and shiny. Original yellow endpapers are brittle and the front one is a little chipped at the fore-edge. Ink name on flyleaf. Front inner hinge cracked but is holding firm. No date of publication is indicated (preface is dated March 1865; March 1889 is handwritten below name on endpaper). Hardcover. 4" wide by 5.25" tall. A volume from the Moxon's Miniature Poets series. The English poet, Winthrop Mackworth Praed (1802-1839), authored VICAR and 8 entries in BARTLETT'S DICTIONARY OF QUOTATIONS.
