Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 2nd Edition. This is the somewhat confusingly titled revised 2nd ed. of "Die Boer se Roer - Die Groot Geweerboek". Warmly inscribed ("Hierdie besonderste stuk Afrikana.") by Lategan ("Oom Felix") to the ffep in 1993 this copy has Lategan's bookplate affixed to the front pastedown and his small address label very much suggesting that this was his personal copy, or at least one of them. He would have been 86 at the time. The claret boards are clean and undamaged and have been very neatly encased in cellophane. Tipped in to the title page is the signed bookplate of celebrated art curator Warren Siebrits. The bottom margin of the title page has four lines of small pencilled script by Siebrits recording where he acquired the volume, how much he paid for it, and sundry other details. The dw accompanying this volume is in fact that of the first ed. It is rubbed and creased along the top margin and to the extremities. 208pp. illus. in b/w and colour. Binding tight. An interesting association copy. Heavy at 1.2kg. Inscribed by Author(s).
