Internally clean, remarkably so, and free of annotation although there is a trace of spotting to the edges of the pages. The book looks at Rock Gardens water Gardens waterlilies on a balcony, commercial possibilities the home aquarium, breeding goldfish and feeding them and the construction of their homes. A small book on the ascetics, building and maintenance of water gardens / pools; and then, perhaps filling your new water garden with various forms of goldfish, 1920s style. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Fading of the back strip. Very faint age toning of the text block edges with foxing splotches, which also occurred to the first few in last few pages of the book. Original owner's rubber stamp to the front paste-down and original bookseller's rubberstamp to the lower edge of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. A very well-illustrated work with examples taken from across the United States and filled with ideas useful for the designing, building and maintaining a water garden, with much on the plants that will thrive there.
