Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Edition and printing. In good quarter tan cloth and paler tan cloth with gilt logo to front and gilt titles to back strip. The covers have collapsed hollow and ar a little loose; slightly marked; corners and spine ends bumped and frayed. Clean pale blue end papers illustrated with parts of rigging to front and parts of engineer to rear - clean. Tinted dark brown top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are tanned. Good plus text block, 'with over 500 illustrations'. The page block is firm; very lightly tanned with some pages a little foxed. No dedication etc. Without jacket. Heavy - please contact us for cost of postage if shipping outside the UK.

The dust jacket, scarce in any condition, is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
