Green cloth with dark green illustration. A story about Harriett, who is a horse, and about Mr. Edward, Esquire, with whom she went to live when she retired. The back cover and foot of the spine are water-stained; the jacket is lightly soiled and also slightly wrinkled on the back panel; small owner's name on front endpaper. Binding tight, text clean, no tears.

There is a name written on the front end paper otherwise the interior is unmarked. DESCRIPTION: Story of Harriett the horse and Mr. Edward esquire, illustrated throughout by William Pene Du Bois.

The jacket is slightly grubby, a little worn on edges and flap folds, and has a 1.5" repaired tear on rear panel, but is complete and unclipped.
