Cette édition, réalisée avec la collaboration amicale de M. Gustave Edouard Gentil, a été tirée à 500 exemplaires sur papier Maillol, numérotés de 1 à 500 et en outre quelques épreuves à part des bois ainsi que des exemplaires hors-commerce marqués de chiffres romains. Le Carteret et le Monod annoncent 20 exemplaires réimposés sur peau de chèvre et 25 exemplaires sur Chine avec états, dont 2 suites en noir et en sanguine ainsi que 10 épreuves refusées et tirées à l'état de frisquette. Exemplaire sur papier Maillol n°436 signé à la mine de plomb par l'artiste. La composition typographique, la mise en page, l'impression du texte et des bois sont l'oeuvre de Philippe Gonin qui rend avec force ce travail d'incision d'Aristide MAILLOL, sculpteur de formes saisissant l'instant en pur imagier. Cette oeuvre justifie cet éloge de la critique "il a haussé la création à la grandeur des dieux". Belle édition très côtée selon Carteret. (Carteret IV-243 Monod 7261). Sous étui, petites usures et infimes salissures au vélin. Livre.
