Woodbury from The Garden Journal Jan/Feb 1968 (9 pages) with photos by Talpey, paintings by Frances W. Horne (1873-1967) selected from a collection of 700 watercolors done from fresh plant specimens. The collection is in the Library of the New York Botanical Garden. Both articles have edge wear. Tropical Fruits has tape. Illustrated by Illus.

This bound volume has 126 deluxe colour illustrations and more than one hundred vivid black and white illustrations plus an index to the common and scientific names of the plants of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. In fine bright green cloth boards, red title field to spine with gilt titles and gilt decorations and horizontal bands on spine. The boards are very tight, flat and clean. Unmarked end papers; the front paste down has 'not stolen from Frank H. Wadsworth' but this author's signature cannot be authenticated. Unmarked cut edges. The text block is in fine condition - very firm, straight and clean and looks unused. Beautiful colour plates. Not annotated etc. In near fine white glossy jacket with colour image of a pink flower to front with gilt titles. The jacket is clean; top edges a little worn. Not price clipped. Very heavy.
