Erratum slip tipped-in between preliminary pages 4 & 5. Original deep purple / almost black cloth, backstrip titled in gilt, covers with blindstamped decorations & borders; plain white endpapers. Backstrip sunned, though gilt reasonably clear; front cover slightly sunned towards upper- & fore-edges. Lower outer corner of rear cover bumped; upper outer corner of rear and both outer corners of front slightly curled, and tips of all outer corners slightly rubbed. No dust jacket. Flyleaves at both front and rear lightly spotted. Frontispiece with sharp crease of length 4½" (11.5cm) across upper outer corner, passing through map-title only. Title-page leaf and following two leaves with lighter crease of length 3½" (9cm) and very light impression of frontispiece crease across upper outer corners, no print affected. Tips of lower outer corners of final two leaves and rear flyleaf creased. Edges of text-block lightly toned, top edge also faintly dust-marked. Binding holding firmly, contents clean and tight. VERY GOOD copy.
