The Hornsleth Village Project is a conceptual art project by Danish artist Kristian von Hornsleth. The project consisted of him going to the Ugandan village of Buteyongera and paying impoverished villagers to legally change their names to ôHornslethö. In exchange for consenting to having ôHornslethö added to their identity documents, the villagers were given livestock. Hornsleth describes the project as a straightforward business transaction, wherein he paid the villagers to participate in his project and pose for the photographs seen here., English, Year2007, Illust.
