Original wraps. Condition: Very Good +. INSCRIBED BY TEUN KOOLHAAS on the front free endpaper. A solid copy to boot of the very scarce 1968 true 1st edition of this seminal work in urban planning and urban design. Issued by the Harvard Graduate School of Design as the published dissertation of Etienne Dusart (1942-2007) and Teun Koolhaas (1940-2007, cousin of architect Rem Koolhaas), this represents a very early example of PNSS and has left an important mark in architecture and urban design. Tight and VG to VG+ in its off-white, pictorial wrappers, with light offsetting along the panel edges, light pen (which has been skillfully and carefully sanded off for the most part) and very light soiling at the panels. Quarto, 61 pgs. "The advancement of technology and the rapid growth of urbanization require a new scope and scale of action. The creation of new settlement systems, where the good life is to be experienced, is one of the most urgent actions to bre taken in that scope".
