No publish date printed, assume c.early 20th c.- 1910 (?) good clean firm interior mostly, just one or two minor usage marks, neat inscription, contains two colour plates, one being the f/p plus several b&w illustrations, faint watermarks to top edge of e/papers, dulled to top closed-edge of pages; pictorial boards have wear/rubs to side edge of spine area, chip to top spine tip, rubs to corners but all tight and intact with bright frontage for the age./.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Beautiful circa 1920 edition published by David McKay Company (Philadelphia). Beautiful color lithograph pastedown on front cover of Tiny Tim and his father. Light blue cover, black lettering on the spine. Gorgeous color lithographs throughout the book including the frontispiece featuring Mr. Micawber and David Copperfield. Mary Angela Dickens was an English novelist and journalist of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras, and the oldest grandchild of the novelist Charles Dickens. She died on the 136th anniversary of her grandfather's birth. Dust jacket is original and somewhat tattered with small pieces gouged out, but it is now protected with a special clear mylar covering. The book has a gift inscription on a blank page dated 1938 and is also stamped with a former owner's name and address in Dallas, Texas. But overall this marvelous children's book is in VERY GOOD condition. (BR) Box 323.
